The place is magnificent. It is super clean and the gardens as well as the restaurant is beautiful! The food was delicious. We had 6 different dishes and they were all amazing. The portions are super large. The staff was so friendly it felt as if we were among family.
I would not recommend this restaurant. Frankly, the food is bland. The chicken pot pie had no vegetables except a few peas. The side dishes tasted like corn out of a can and instant potatoes. My daughter had the vegetable soup, which was completely without flavor. My 8-yr-old son said the chicken dumplings were "really good" for what that's worth.
The basket room is gone, and has turned into the canning room. But everything else is the same.
This place is a must visit. The location gives you a beautiful view of the mountain side. You get a cup of apple juice, apple butter and fritter complementary and all the food is always good. There’s also a candy and produce store that you can visit here. Very friendly and welcoming staff.
Warm Apple fritters and Home made apple butter wit a side of fresh FRESH apple cider. Just stop!!!!! Knock your socks off great. BBQ sandwich or country cooked chicken and dumplings it’s win win meals. Cost of the meal will want to make you take an order Home. It’s my favorite Fall MUST eat place.
